I would be VERY careful with the office procedures. First of all this is the second operation of a similar kind done to our other child by another company. We paid our deductable and no other billing ever appeared. By the YAG follow up for the EOY was at n/c. We chose the Angleton branch office of Texas Eye Institute out of convenience of location. At the interview with this office, we were told all charges would be covered after the $200.00 deductable was met. This was the same office procedure recognized to us by our prior experience. What we had found after the operation was a barrage of bills by other doctors and hospitals we were not told about. We’ve contacted Texas Eye Institute and to our dismay have gotten “you should have known” and “we cannot tell you what the other are going to charge”……even though they put them on the parole In fact this company still owes us for an insurance overpayment from several months ago and was never notified. After several conversations and no call backs, we contacted the main office. They also seem to have troubles sending said check to us that belong to another site which was not known for over 6 weeks now. Still fighting, some charges from doctors we never heard and waiting for that overpayment has now some debts in collections. We have the money to pay but it's become an issue of the company integrity.
